From project management to running my own Steinbeis business
His areas of expertise lie in project and process management, as well as operational excellence. His career has included roles such as Operations Manager at an IT and project management training institute, at a certification body, and at a global ICT group. From 2019 to 2022, he served as First Vice-President of the GPM Deutsche Gesellschaft für Projektmanagement e. V. (German Society for Project Management). In addition, Daniel Stumpf was a lecturer in (agile) project management at Pforzheim University and is a certified innovation manager.
In terms of content, the Steinbeis Transfer Center IT Project Management (ITPM) and Steinbeis ITPM GmbH focus on practice-oriented project management. Their services include training courses and workshops on IT project management, agile and hybrid approaches, AI in project management, and the introduction and further development of Project Management Offices. In addition, they offer preparation for certification, particularly in accordance with IPMA standards, as well as consultancy and project services. At the GmbH, operational excellence complements the range of services.
The connection with Steinbeis existed even before the founding of his own Steinbeis company: Daniel Stumpf had been working as a subcontractor on projects for a Steinbeis company through his existing firm, MIGLIORO GmbH. This collaboration had already given him initial insights into the Steinbeis environment over the past few years. With the establishment of the Steinbeis Transfer Center IT Project Management (ITPM) in early 2026, Daniel Stumpf finally became active himself as a transfer entrepreneur within the Steinbeis network.
