Having coordinated a large number of clinical studies, eyetrail has earned a reputation as a professional partner on research projects in the field of ophthalmology. We offer:
The eyetrail STC has been providing coordinating and consultation on a clinical study on retinal implants at the University of TĂĽbingen Eye Clinic since 2004. Researchers involved in the project are working on an electronic chip that can be implanted under the retina of the human eye with the aim of restoring vision to many blind people who have lost their sight due to severe retinal degeneration (e.g. retinitis pigmentosa, choroideremia). The Pupillographic Sleepiness Test, which was co-developed by the head of the eyetrial STC, has provided the institute with an effective instrument for objectively measuring people’s propensity to fall asleep. When used in sleep medicine, pupillography can help with the:
