Selected research projects:

• Federal Ministry of Education and Research project: CIP-MED. Goal: Development of a procedural model for extending the innovation process to include user-oriented methods (human-centered design) with the aim of realizing a digitalization and personalization strategy in the field of medical technology
• Federal Ministry of Education and Research project: SCALE-IT. Enabling production companies to use modern IT/digitech to plan and organize the use of intelligent tools, and the integration of existing IT systems to achieve smart manufacturing (Industry 4.0); shopfloor research at the company
• Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy project: PUMA – usability for SME applications. Creation of a competence network and a software excellence platform for the online networking of companies involved in the development and application of software with usability and user experience experts
• EU Project: GLONET. Glocal enterprise network focusing on customer-centric collaboration: development of IT processes based on a cloud computing platform for enterprise networks offering customized products and services over the complete life cycle
• Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy project: MAC4U – Mass customization for individualized product enhancements. Development of an SaaS marketplace for variants based on standardized processes in product development
• Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy project: NAI – Sustainability advisor for the innovation process. Development of a (product) configurator based on sustainability factors with particular consideration of design rules for sustainable product and process modules
• Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy project: NeMat – STANDARD VARIANT network. Design of product and process variants, including control with the aim of enhancing material efficiency, and with this scope: value creation within the context of an SME network
