The business purpose of Steinbeis Research gGmbH is non-profit research and science-based teaching. Within this framework, the enterprise conducts research projects, selected voluntarily, as well as collaborative and contractual research. Achieved outcomes are shared openly with others and quickly made available. Research is conducted through internal human resources or in collaboration with other scientific institutions.
The enterprise may also operate in related areas – provided those fields meet the requirements of charitable purpose pursuant to Section 52 (2) No. 1 of the German Fiscal Code (AO), i.e. the promotion of science and research – and it may engage in all kinds of business activities connected to the business purpose of the enterprise. It may also acquire interests in other companies with the same or similar business purpose.
Steinbeis Research is a research institute recognized by Steinbeis University.
