System assessment of e-machines and storage systems
We analyze requirements relating to components, materials, and processes for functional materials used in power engineering, such as magnets for electric drives or lithium ion batteries for storing energy in consumer and automotive markets. To this end, we develop individual solutions with our customers. We provide access to our scientific knowledge, from the initial phase of planning evaluations to choosing efficient methods and interpreting results with the aim of gaining new insights.

Machine learning and microscopy solutions
Ultimate efficiency in quantitative microscopy is one of our key priorities. Working in collaboration with our partners, we drive this efficiency within specific applications. In doing so, individual solutions can have an enormous impact on raising automation levels. In addition, we also offer systems for holding macrosection or customer-specific samples. Automated serial experimentation adhering to the highest standards of flexibility can be particularly challenging. Machine learning? Something we apply in just the right areas.

Core competence: classic materialography
Our core business includes the provision of classic materialography, offering targeted material analysis even for routine tasks. The objective throughout is an understanding of materials used as structural and functional working materials, as well as additive production. For us, damage analysis is a challenge we relish. Intensive transfer between Matworks GmbH and the Institute for Material Research makes it possible to leverage a large number of high-end devices in collaboration with your scientific experts.

Technology consulting
We offer technology consulting as required in keeping with the specific nature of each project, at every stage of the raw material value chain, including complex production technology in major batches. Naturally, as an important field of expertise, we can also provide efficient research in industrial processes and future technology trends and make these easy to understand. To do this, we conduct thorough research into the situation governing markets and patents. We also combine technology evaluations and commercial expertise with cost engineering.
