Coordinator of the cloud activities in EOSC-Life ('European Open Science Cloud – Life Sciences' - from 2019 on) and of the de.NBI Cloud ('German Network for Bioinformatics Infrastructure' – since 2017).
Headed the “Data Management and Genomics IT” at the German Cancer Research Institute for 15 years.
As one of the largest European scientific clouds, de.NBI Cloud contributes to EOSC and ELIXIR activities.
Business interests: standardization, strong cooperation with industry, IT infrastructure for health data in science and care, GDPR, development of concepts and guidelines for big data analysis and artificial intelligence
