Anyone wishing to understand material behaviour and develop new materials and manufacturing processes requires detailed information on material microstructures. The ex-situ analyses of material microstructures commonly carried out following manufacturing processes provide only limited insight. A much deeper understanding is gained through the in-situ analysis of phase transformations during characteristic temperature-time profiles of manufacturing processes. We offer such services primarily using dilatometry and calorimetry across a wide range of heating and cooling rates for metallic materials, in particular steels and light metal alloys.
