Steinbeis Innovation Center Research Network Berlin (SIC)

The focus of this center lies in the initiation and assumption of responsibility, including submission of applications, for publicly funded research projects, on behalf of both the European Union and federal or state governments, and also for projects of other funding agencies (municipalities, foundations, associations).

For these projects, we support and provide advice on planning, the submission of applications, preparation, and implementation.

• Running of a feasibility study on high-volume negative molds made with 3D printing for use in glass fiber-reinforced plastic (GRP) mold construction
• Prototype production of a GRP negative mold using additive manufacturing
• Development of a friction welding system for wood-based materials
• Development of lightweight components using renewable materials for vehicle and car interior construction
• Development of sandwich panels using wooden deck layers
